Briefing
For the summer launch, Belgian brewery Val-Dieu introduced a new white beer. The brewery tasked us with creating a fresh marketing position and revamping the design. We crafted the tagline "Fraîchement ardente," capturing the contrast between the beer's coolness and the warmth of Liège, known as "La Cité Ardente."
My Role
I designed the logo, illustration, and packaging, infusing it with a playful, cartoon style. Though the client ultimately chose another concept, this project was a creative exploration.
Concept
I centered the design around "Tchantchès," a beloved puppet from Liège, symbolizing fire as a nod to his miner origins. A cool beer in a fiery setting—what could be better? For the wordmark, I added a Belgian comic-style flair to celebrate the beer’s local roots.
